Os coelhos:
-são mamíferos lagomorfos,
-são herbívoros,
-possuem altura variando de 39,5 cm até 47,7 cm,
-possuem peso que vai de 800 g até 1533 g,
-podem atingir a velocidade de 29 km/h,
-são ótimos amigos e umas fofuras!!!!!!!

As lebres:
-são mamíferos,
-são herbívoros,
-possuem altura de aproximadamente 61 cm,
-possuem o peso variando de 1,4 Kg a 4 Kg.
-são um pouco mais difíceis de domesticar, não que seja impossível.

Halloween......let's carve a pumpkin!

People have been making jack o'lanterns at Halloween for centuries. The practice originated from an Irish myth about a man nicknamed "Stingy Jack." According to the story, Stingy Jack invited the Devil to have a drink with him. True to his name, Stingy Jack didn't want to pay for his drink, so he convinced the Devil to turn himself into a coin that Jack could use to buy their drinks. Once the Devil did so, Jack decided to keep the money and put it into his pocket next to a silver cross, which prevented the Devil from changing back into his original form. Jack eventually freed the Devil, under the condition that he would not bother Jack for one year and that, should Jack die, he would not claim his soul. The next year, Jack again tricked the Devil into climbing into a tree to pick a piece of fruit. While he was up in the tree, Jack carved a sign of the cross into the tree's bark so that the Devil could not come down until the Devil promised Jack not to bother him for ten more years.
Soon after, Jack died. As the legend goes, God would not allow such an unsavory figure into heaven. The Devil, upset by the trick Jack had played on him and keeping his word not to claim his soul, would not allow Jack into hell. He sent Jack off into the dark night with only a burning coal to light his way. Jack put the coal into a carved-out turnip and has been roaming the Earth with ever since. The Irish began to refer to this ghostly figure as "Jack of the Lantern," and then, simply "Jack O'Lantern."

Coelhos

Primeiramente, quero declarar meu amor incondicional pelo meu coelho. Adoooooooooro meu bunny!!!!! O nome deste blog foi inpirado nele: wisebunny.
Coelhos são animais extremamente dóceis e perfeitos para o convívio doméstico. Podem viver vários anos se bem tratados. Para o bem estar dessas fofuras são necessários alguns cuidados. Começando com uma alimentação balanceada, aqui em casa, por exemplo, sempre temos cenouras fresquinhas, alfafa prensada entre outros. Além disso, os coelhinhos precisam de um lugar sequinho, fresco e higienizado periodicamente. Quando moram em gaiolas, estas precisam ser grandes para que eles possam se movimentar adequadamente sem dispensar, é claro, os passeios diários pelo jardim. Aliás, exercícios físicos são fundamentais para os coelhos pois eles possuem uma anatomia desenvolvida para correr em grande velocidade e percorrer grandes áreas, com as patas traseiras que favorecem o pulo. O espaço territorial de um adulto é de aproximadamente 10 km ou mais. Portanto, não se deve deixar um coelho preso por muito tempo, pois eles precisam se movimentar para fortalecer os ossos, os músculos - incluindo o coração- e, queimar eventuais calorias extras. Porém o mais importante para um animal de estimação é amá-lo, dar muita atenção e carinho, tornando-o parte importante de seu dia-a-dia pois, quem faz isso, só tem a ganhar.
